Why Choose Metal Roofing

  1. Saves up to 25% on your energy bill. It has reflective properties and an Energy Star paint system. The dark color of shingles absorbs sun light, creating heat, increasing energy bills and reducing shingle life.
  2. Highly durable and resistant to storm damage from high winds, hail, and fire damage. It will not rot and is resistant to mildew & fungus.
  3. Lower cost of repair / replacement versus shingles.
  4. Less likely to produce water leaks and ice dams. Water and snow flow off the metal roof easier due to the non gripping nature of the surface. Granules on shingles tend to grip water and snow to the surface, increasing the chance of water leaks and ice damage.
  5. Metal roofs are lighter weight 65lb to 85lb per square compared to 225lb to 350lb per square of shingles. Decreasing the impact on your home's roof structure.
  6. Metal roofing is considered to be a "once in a lifetime" purchase. Shingle roofs have a low life cycle, which means it has to be replaced every 10 to 20 years, as often as a metal roof.
  7. According to the Metal Roofing Alliance the resale value of a home with a metal roof system is up to 6% higher than the same house with a shingle roof.
  8. Possibly save on home owners insurance.
  9. Environmentally friendly product, its 100% recyclable. Shingles are not. In 2012 over 10 million tons of shingles were delivered to the U.S. landfills taking up to 300 years to decompose.
